WHAT CONDITIONS DO YOU TREAT?
At Movement Revival, we specialize in assessing, managing, and treating a wide range of conditions, including: Back Pain Upper and lower back issues such as sciatica, pinched nerves, lifting injuries, and desk/ergonomic-related pain. DO YOU HAVE HICAPS? IF YES, WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH FUNDS DO YOU ACCEPT?
For your convenience, HICAPS is available on-site, allowing for instant claims from your private health fund. ​ We accept all Australian health funds, including but not limited to: HCF, NIB, AHM, GU Health, Teachers Mutual Health, Medibank, BUPA, HBF, Australian Unity, Frank, Defence Health, CUA, and Qantas Health Insurance. ​ Rebates Private health insurance rebates depend on your level of coverage. Patients typically receive: 35-50% back on initial consultations. 30-40% back on follow-up consultations. ​ HCF ‘More for Muscles’ Program We are affiliated with HCF’s More for Muscles program, offering heavily subsidized initial consultations for eligible patients. ​ What If On-the-Spot Claims Aren’t Possible? If claiming via HICAPS is not feasible for any reason, full payment is required at the time of your consultation. A receipt will be provided so you can claim directly with your health fund at your convenience.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL?
For private patients, no referral is required. Physiotherapists are primary healthcare practitioners, so you can book directly with us. ​ However, you will need a doctor’s referral if: Your injury occurred at work and is covered under Workers’ Compensation. Your injury is from a motor vehicle accident and is covered under Third-Party Insurance. You are eligible for the Medicare EPC Program (Enhanced Primary Care). You are entitled to services under Veterans’ Affairs. ​ If you're unsure about your eligibility, feel free to contact us for guidance.
WHAT DO SESSIONS LOOK LIKE AT MOVEMENT REVIVAL?
At Movement Revival, we tailor each session to your unique needs, ensuring a balance between treatment, education, and rehabilitation. ​ Initial Consultation (45 minutes): A thorough one-on-one assessment. Diagnosis and patient education. Development of a personalized treatment plan. Time dedicated to treatment and providing 1-2 take-home exercises to get you started. ​ Follow-Up Consultations (30 minutes): Focus on graded exposure to movement. Hands-on treatment if required. Progression of your recovery journey. ​ Our Approach to Care: Pain Relief (First 3-4 Sessions): Reduce pain and discomfort with a combination of soft tissue techniques, gentle movements, and targeted exercises. Restoring Function and Strengthening: As pain decreases and function improves, we guide you through a structured strengthening program tailored to your goals. This phase typically takes 3-12 weeks, depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. ​ Our goal is to help you move confidently, reduce pain, and achieve lasting results.

WHAT TO BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
To make the most of your session, please bring the following items: Private Health Fund Card For convenient on-the-spot claiming via HICAPS (if applicable). Comfortable Clothing Wear or bring items like shorts or a singlet, depending on the area requiring treatment. Relevant Medical Documents This includes any scans, imaging, or reports related to your injury. Referral or Supporting Documents If applicable, bring any referrals or documentation related to compensation claims (e.g., Workers’ Compensation, Third-Party Insurance, Medicare EPC). ​ Being prepared ensures a smooth and effective appointment tailored to your recovery goals. DO YOU TAKE MEDICARE EPC REFERRALS?
Yes, we do! With a referral from your GP, we accept Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plans, which provide up to 5 subsidized physiotherapy sessions per calendar year. ​ Please note: There is a gap payment for each session, which is the difference between the Medicare rebate and our standard fees. ​ Speak to your GP to determine if you’re eligible for this care plan.
